Biography

Do you have a dog who is a good mentor or caretaker to other doggies? Some dogs are naturally good teachers and enjoy the opportunity to show another, less-confident dog all about the good life.

May May is a terrific doggie girl who does fantastically when she lives alongside a confident, comfortable dog. And May May will love her people, too. She likes to be by your side and give kisses, and she definitely relishes the good scratches and pets.
Toss May May a treat, and she’ll be your best friend in minutes. She’s silly, wiggly and so happy, just like a ray of brindle sunshine in your life. She’s about 5 years old and weighs a perfectly sized 45 lbs.

May May is wonderful on the leash, with or without another dog, so you can head out and take on the neighborhood together. She’ll enjoy the smells, you’ll enjoy the nature and saying hi to your neighbors, and you’ll both get some movement. Nothing like a daily walk to put life in perspective and spend some quality time together.

And we haven’t even talked about May May’s obsession with toys yet. If she could, she’d become the dog version of a hoarder, because she loves every single toy she’s ever seen. Watching her be so excited and happy about her toys is the most life-affirming thing. She listens well and is treat-motivated, so May May is easy to train for exactly what you want. She’s sharp and a quick study.

If your dog would embrace the chance to show May May the ropes and help her be her best confident self, it will be a win-win-win for all involved. May May will learn quickly, your dog will have a playmate, and you’ll get to watch it all unfold. When dogs become friends and form those buddy-to-buddy bonds, it’s so heartwarming. They can grow older and closer together every day.

May May should be in a home without young children. She is house trained, crate trained, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on flea/tick prevention and heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $175. Apply to adopt her at PawsitiveTailsKC.org.
